…but.

I’m at the Life Review.  (You’ll get your chance.)  In mere MOMENTS, every single act, and thought I EVER did and had was all around me, as if happening for the first time!  And yet, the entire thing happened so FAST, it was over before my brain could register it.  But I remembered it all!

As if that wasn’t strange enough, I saw things as if I was on the receiving end of things I had said and done.  To me it seemed like the effects were amplified somewhat.  It’s that or…some of the things I had said…cut to the bone?  Or were those “recipients” just (too) “sensative”?  …No, that was not the answer.

I would come to a place, in this…thought stealing review, that I would feel I needed to…defend my actions.  Over and over I would begin by saying, “yeah, but”…and that would be the end of the moment, moving on to the next.  After this had occured several times, I realized that my “yeah, but” “explanation” carried no weight.  It wasn’t that it was a “lie”, more like…you should have known better, AND WOULD HAVE, if truly coming from a place of love!

There it is…the “afterlife’s” standards for admission, and now you know, when your turn comes, that “but.” is always the end of the sentence.

Do I HAVE TO Do Good, Too?

Please remember, this series contains reports of the experiences of a person who has had a so-called “near death experience”.   Many, many of the things “seen/discovered” during that time go against even his own beliefs!  These are simply the reports (“to the whole world”) that were  promised (to Someone you don’t lie to)!!  Bear with me….

Many folks believe that “by Grace Ye are Saved, not by Works” means that Grace is all that’s required in order to receive  “the good” afterlife.  A person could have done any ole thing they want to, for a lifetime, as long as they BELIEVE.  Then again, out of the other side of their mouths they speak of a “Judgment Day”…..?  You know, JUDGMENT DAY!  It’s where your GOODNESS is counted up….to see if you qualify for the Good Treatment.  Then there’s this, “Faith without works is dead”.  Which one is true?

What does the “near” death experience tell us?

That “life review” experienced during the…death and return….was DEADLY SERIOUS.  Every lie was the biggest lie ever told!  Every deceit WAS a lie.  Every…taking advantage…was taking advantage against YOURSELF.  Naturally it is!  We are all “one”.  Don’t ask for an explanation…..there are no words….BIG enough!  But it’s true, from my understanding.  As for “by Grace”…..this is hard to put into words…words alone leave so many misunderstandings in their wake.

When suddenly in “the waiting place”, it was obvious that this condition COULD go on for EVER….since you’re apart from time.  Just as the fear was about to take over, the realization came that all one needs do is call The Saviors name, and believe the offer of salvation, as fact.

Putting these two experiences together…..as “evidence”…..

Knowing that every lie is the biggest lie ever told, and every hurting thing comes back to hurt YOU (magnified) are enough reasons to begin giving up those things completely.  Then comes peace…NOT necessarily an easy life, but peace, nevertheless.

If a person believes, they want to understand.  When that person UNDERSTANDS, they will WANT TO do good (to/for/with others).  If NOT……… Well, if they don’t measure up, they won’t get in.  Remember, it isn’t…bliss/”heaven” …if the riff-raff gets in.

(You don’t do good for “brownie points”.  Those acts likely don’t even count!  Maybe…..in secret is best…..)

How to Stop the Escalation

Who hasn’t run into a situation where there are several people having a conversation.  They may be talking about…….politics, or how to raise children, or some such. The conversation becomes “heated”, verging on argument.  Most folks that find themselves in this position have come to the point where, knowing minds probably won’t be changed, today, they work on winding down the situation, agreeing to disagree (and, probably go home and apply a little of what they heard!).  What is the alternative?

With  topics that mean so much to a person, such as these, it is awful easy to go too far.  First, it becomes yelling.  Throw in a couple belly bumps.  Add a push, here and there.  What’s next?  Yep, somebody swings.  One swings, so the other takes a swing.  Throw in a bystander, or two, and we have a party, of the heinous variety.  Maybe, somebody dies.  So somebody else, from the opposing faction, has to die, right?  Where does this end?  DOES this end?

All this was able to be “easily” avoided by just winding down the situation, each person still feeling correct, but “living” with it, accepting things as they are, for now, but working for change.  Instead of focusing on who had received the last beating, or insult, or even death, there needs to be an agreement that the only way to stop this “thing” is to just STOP NOW.  It seems it’s the only way to prevent an (inevitable?) escalation, when discord begins.  If it NOW works for conversation, it can be made to apply to WAR!  If no one cares about the lives saved, think about the MONEY SAVED!  Everyones’ standard of living goes up, if there’s no war.  Hello?

What, Again, is Life About?

A lot of folks seem to think, as I once did, that life is a test.  That may be the wrong way to look at it.

Opportunity, that is what life is.  OK, it’s an opportunity….for what?  Is it just an opportunity for God to get all bug-eyed, watching us flounder, counting each transgression (like Scrooge would count his pence), waiting for the day of the big filet?  Eh?

Who’s heard of, “you can’t earn your way to Heaven”, you?  It’s because there’s…”purchasing” involved, where “a savings account”  is a more appropriate description…..less entitlement, more…seeking….and “saving”….. all things good, and proper, with Love…and, therefore, the approval of the powers that be, besides a just reward.  We need to be good/do good because we want to, not because it “pays”.  That kind of “pay” does not convert to Heavens currency!

Remember the story, something about, burning off the chaff from a harvest….  I’m guessing that is more than a fair description.  God hates sin, right?  Then why would He want to look at it?!  Burn it off, look at what’s left.  For some folks, that doesn’t leave much.  It would not be cool for God to ask for his magnifying glass, to see what’s left over from the burn, when looking me over, I know that much.

For some, God will look at the pile…it’s so big….and bright (because of the blazing light, coming from Him, reflecting off the “gold” (“savings”) pile).  Yes, that is what I want…..  A big smile on the face of the Almighty.

The Truth about Lies…….Huh?

We all know about lies.  Lies are untruths that make you look like an idiot, when they’re discovered.  After that, it’s likely fewer people want to talk to you….what’s the point, what you’re saying is probably a lie!

There are many, situations where a  strategically placed lie…just makes life easier. They aren’t usually malicious.  Usually it’s just a little white lie that “saves” the day/moment.

Having had a death experience, this is what I have to report to you.  It’s a report of what I saw, and was told (about lies, in this case), not MY, personal mandate to civilized life all over the universe…..

Here it is…A HUGE lie is an abomination to God, and everyone that loves His ways.  Who’ll give me an “AMEN”!  A little lie is, then, of course…….an abomination to God, and everyone that loves His ways!!  Big lie, little lie, they are EXACTLY the same.

Liars are looking to buy an eternity of being lied to, it appears.  It’s a shame.  The thing is, was it really necessary to lie, every one of those times?  Now, think about this, then answer…..from what I’ve seen, once you are finished  living, and have “gone on”, life seems to have been very, very short…maybe just moments.  It has been suggested that, in a place that has NO TIME, life resembles ten minutes.

So the question becomes, do you think you could go 10 minutes without lying, in order to be acceptable in Heaven?  The alternative may be, being spit out like a mouthful of sewage, thrown out, into……….

The Poor Have it MADE?

Perhaps you have read the part that describes how life is only ten minutes long.  What could you “put up with”, for ten minutes, knowing that a blissful existence is the reward for success DURING those ten minutes.  Even being “poor”, which pays better, so to speak, would be survivable!

There are people who have very little use for so-called “wealth”.  (I know one particularly well.)

It’s funny (?) that, no matter how much money people make, it’s the people above them that are rich……hmmmm. They are looking in the wrong direction!  If we can’t look to the poor for that comparison, at least  look at the “average” poor…the WORLD average!  Now who’s “rich” (monetarily speaking)?

Another way to look at it…the tough way…the Just way….add up the GDP of the entire planet, and divide by the number of people!  THAT is how it’s done in Heaven….and that should be how we do it.  (We’d have to go more by “living conditions” than actual dollars…unless we levelled the playing field to start with….)  Looking at it that way, maybe we ourselves aren’t doing so bad, eh?

Really, the poor have it made, right.  Yes, and here’s why….

A kid who has NOTHING, not even shoes, gets GIVEN a ball.  It’s great!  It’s like….a miracle!  Now imagine  that kid is….crowned king of the world.  He controls everything.  He OWNS everything.  How blissful would that kid be, now?  Now, multiply that times 100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000.  Now there’s a heavenly reward!  All for being poor (and still grateful), for ten minutes!

On the other hand, there’s the guy who had everything, well off.  He says we’ll always have the poor and hungry, but I really deserve another vacation.  He goes to the afterlife, and expects this best life to be deserving of continuation  (conditions, treatment, the works).  It doesn’t seem fair, once again, but this guy has had his.  You know, that kind of person that always puts themselves first, and, well…. we don’t like their kind, up Here.

Lastly, it all goes back to life being really only, like, 10 minutes long  (once we’re IN eternity, that’s what it will seem like).  With that in mind (always)…..what do you think most people would choose?

I’ll Kill Myself and Go Somewhere Better…Says Who?

What makes people think they can kill themselves, and go somewhere better?!?  Do they think there is never an undesirable outcome after death?  What about “ghosts”?  Presumably they (ghosts) are trapped here.  This isn’t to say that there are ghosts, but it wouldn’t surprise me.  The point is, if they believe in the existence of something resembling “hell”, or in trapped spirits,  or some such, they’d better think again before thinking suicide!  It gets worse….yeah, worse.

The answer to the suicide/Heaven formula?  Zero.  That’s the chance of having a good outcome from suicide.  I am sorry.  The Kid with a thousand questions expected a different answer!

You know….life is tough!  It seems like God would have pity on people who….just can’t make life “work”.  You know, the whole God/forgiveness thing.  That simply wasn’t the case.

THIS is the answer to the question of suicide…..Just for the record, I don’t feel it’s fair….apparently suicide is unforgivable, according to what I’ve seen {I mean, the Kid has seen).  Why?  Because, you’ve chosen to tell God, “to hell with your plan for my life, I’m doing what I think is best!”.

You don’t see people who have had a so-called “near death experience” committing suicide.  These people have seen death….and bliss….who WOULDN’T want to go back ASAP?  But they don’t, do they?

So VERY many good things come from people who have borne the unbearable…maybe it’s almost “required” in order to do the BEST things(?).

That’s it.  Like all answers from/about God….simple.

Which Religion is the RIGHT Religion?

This question has been pondered at one time or another, by most folks searching for the “truth”.   After all, who wants to have been serving the wrong purpose, all their lives?  (Not to mention that, having made such a big “mistake”, you’ll look like an idiot, when you’re standing before God!)  The Kid with a thousand questions was no different.

The answer  was rather surprising, and completely unexpected.   The answer is…….   No religion is the right religion.  Of all the religions in the world, NONE, ZERO are “just right”!  Many of them have the right idea, but have one, or more, fairly major flaws.   In this case, there were no names given, as to which is the “best/most correct/worthy”.

Flaws?  The biggest problem with religion is thinking that our own is the ONLY way to get to heaven!  This often leads to arguments, fights, and even wars.  It’s CRAZY!!  Assuming we can all agree that “love”, for everyone, in every situation, is the path to a blissful afterlife, why are believers driven APART, when it should draw us together!!?  I don’t get it……

As far as lifestyle goes, way too much importance, time, and, especially, money is wasted on buildings.  What can we say, standing before God, accounting for our actions, “but, we had such a nice building.”?!   Buildings, and “stuff”…like fancy clothes bought to wear to that building are a waste of resources.  Did people like Jesus, need a building, or fancy duds?  There are people starving to death!  Obviously, no one understands that…we are ALL ONE!  That person dying of starvation is your mom, dad, brother, or sister!  You might just as well kill them outright, and spare them some suffering!!  ……..I can’t talk about this more, now.  It’s tearing my guts out!

So, what makes a religion “worthy”?  You may have guessed, it’s…Love.  Not talking about it, not debating it…doing it.

Is Death the End?

This one is in the top 10 unanswerable questions asked. Let me put it this way….while I was “away” from life, going through these events that are associated with death, I tried to remember what I was doing LAST.  How did I get here/there?  I had to STRAIN to remember.  Life was now such a…non-factor…like a boring story you heard LONG ago.  I could have burned to death, or worse (?), and couldn’t care less!  I know it, I am DEAD….but I still exist!

NO. Death is not the end, from what I have seen.

Uh oh, this changes….everything. How do I act?  How do I treat strangers?  Do I hoard gold, or use it (up) for good?  (Every action will be exactly like in “Schindlers List”, where Oscar Schindler looks at his ring, and wonders how many lives it could have bought. No big deal….just words?  For impact, let’s say those lives not bought were you and your family.)
